[ARCHIVED] Water Main Break on Cuyamaca

Cuyamaca Water Main Break 2020

The water main break on Cuyamaca near Prospect first occurred on Friday morning around 3:00am. Padre Dam crews continue to work on Sunday to complete repairs and have been on site continuously to complete repairs. This water main break has been one of the most challenging breaks we have experienced in many years. After initial repairs were made, two additional leaks were discovered on the pipeline, causing crews to continue to work on the additional repairs. We apologize for the inconvenience this work has caused for the community and customers who are without water service. All water services should be back in service this afternoon. We are working diligently to get the pipeline in working order and the road repaved as expeditiously as possible. At this time we expect repairs to the water main and the road to be completed on late Monday or Tuesday. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Sunday 3pm Update: A small area on Airport Vista and Cuyamaca will be out of water service on Monday, Nov. 2 from 7am-5pm for a water valve replacement. This work is related to the repairs for the Cuyamaca main break from Friday.  The thirteen customers impacted have been notified by phone and email on file.
