Construction on our future water supply from the East County AWP Program has begun! Find out the latest on the project, see construction impacts on the interactive map and sign up to receive construction updates at www.eastcountyawp.com.

A sound wall has been installed along Sycamore Canyon Rd. next to the Santee Lakes Campground. The 16-foot sound wall extends along the road of campsites and serves to buffer noise of construction traffic and work activity for the park users during construction.

Earthwork is happening at the future site of the new water facilities which are located north of the Santee Lakes campground. But more substrate is needed. Be on the lookout for increased truck traffic on Mast Blvd. and Fanita Parkway on weekdays. Beginning mid-September and continuing for approximately three months, extensive truck traffic will occur as dirt will be trucked in to fill the grade where the foundation of the treatment facilities will be located. Trucks will exit Highway 52, travel east on Mast and then north on Fanita Pkwy past Ganley. Truck trips will occur Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The trucks are bringing in fill dirt to ensure there is a stable foundation for construction.
