Brian Fordyce and Rocky Qualin were sworn in on December 2, 2022 as the newest members of the Padre Dam Municipal Water District Board of Directors. Fordyce represents Division 1 and is replacing Doug Wilson who retired at the end of his recent term. Qualin was initially appointed to the Board in September 2022 to fill an unexpired term for a vacancy in Division 5. Both Fordyce and Qualin were unopposed for their new four-year term on the Board.
Fordyce was born in San Diego and has been a Santee resident for more than 30 years. He is a graduate of San Diego State University with a degree in Speech Communication. Brian has owned and operated a small business for 30 years as well. He brings his experience in managing budgets, operations, and client needs to the Padre Dam Board. Brian is also involved in various volunteer organizations assisting people in need of home repairs in order to provide a safe living environment.
Qualin is a long-time Santee resident, who graduated from Santana High School and later earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from San Diego State University. His background includes 25 years as a banking and insurance executive involved with budgeting, managing cash flow and analyzing risk for small to large size companies. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Governors for the Grossmont Hospital Foundation, as well as the Board of Directors for the local non-profit Lion’s Camp Jack, which sends foster and at-risk youth to summer camp.
Directors Fordyce and Qualin will serve four-year terms ending in December 2026.
